Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

Parramatta Memorial Swimming Club Incorporated runs this website. This policy explains what
personal information we collect and how we handle it.

What we collect

  • Enquiries — when you use a form on this site: your name, email address and
    whatever you write in it.
  • Newsletter — your name and email address if you subscribe, and whether our
emails are opened and their links clicked.
  • Race results and club records — swimmers’ times.
  • Website use — through cookies and similar technologies, described below.

Club membership is registered through Swimming NSW’s Swim Central, which handles that
information under its own privacy policy.

How we use it

To run the club, respond to you, publish results and records, send the newsletter, and promote
the club. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link that works immediately and costs nothing.

Race results and club records

We publish race results and club records on this site. Swimmers are identified by first name and
last initial only — for example “Anthony A.” If you would prefer a swimmer’s name to be shortened
further or left out, tell the Club Secretary and we will do that.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

This site uses cookies and similar technologies to make it work, to measure how it is used, and
to advertise the club. We use analytics and advertising providers to do this — currently Google and
Meta (Facebook and Instagram).

Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to
this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to
serve ads to you based on your visit to this and/or other sites on the internet. These providers may
hold and process this information outside Australia.

You can opt out of personalised advertising through
Google Ads Settings or
aboutads.info/choices,
and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Who we share it with

Swimming NSW and Swimming Australia, as our affiliation requires; the providers that run our
website, email, analytics and advertising; and anyone else the law requires us to tell. We do not
sell your personal information.

Children

Many of our members are children. Their results are published as described above, and we do not
include children in advertising audiences.

Contact us

To ask about, see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or to raise a concern,
contact the Club Secretary.
